Force Scan is useful to ensure mobile app users are inspecting the correct Inspection Points and in the right Location.

Step by Step Instructions


To enable Force Scan, start by logging into the web app:

  1. Click Settings.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Checkmark "Force Scan on Mobile App". This determines if Force Scan is enabled for your environment, and allows you to enable Force Scan on individual Inspection Categories.

Now, enable Force Scan on the categories:

  1. Click Inspections.
  2. Click Inspection Points.
  3. Scroll to an Inspection Category, and click the pencil icon.

Now, you can enter the details:

  1. Select if the Inspection Point ID must be scanned when doing inspections.
  2. Select is the Location of the Inspection Point must be confirmed when doing inspections.
  3. Click Save.

When completing inspections in the mobile app, users will be prompted to scan the Inspection Point's QR/barcode.

If the device has a bluetooth or built-in barcode scanner, the Inspection Point's barcode can be scanned.

If the Inspection Point has a QR code, tap SCAN USING CAMERA instead.

Once the Inspection Point's QR/barcode has been scanned, the user must scan the Location's QR/barcode next.
